Haig-Brown House was the home of renowned author and fisherman, Roderick Haig-Brown, his wife Ann and their 4 children. The Haig-Browns' called it "Above Tide", since it was just that - far enough upriver to be above the tidal water. Open as a Bed & Breakfast from May 1 to October 31, this 1923 farmhouse is a Canadian heritage site on the banks of the Campbell River, on Vancouver Island.
Nestled amid coastal forest, lush formal gardens and lawn, and countless flowering trees and rhodos, this is a perfect spot for photography sessions, wedding ceremonies, or small afternoon receptions.
Tours of Rod's study (kept in the style of his life - and housing 4,000 books, his awards, and family photos) are available just about any time.
